1. Initial Discussion on the proposed fund terms so we can advise on the optimal structure. We provide our fund formation questionnaire which, once completed, enables us to advise on the most appropriate structure, the regulatory requirements and indicative costs for formation and on-going expenses. 

2. Service Provider Selection - whether the proposed fund is a hedge fund, venture capital, private equity, real estate or crypto fund, we can provide our thoughts on the most suitable service providers from our experience. This will depend on many factors such as the strategy, size of the fund and location of the manager and investors. We can provide introductions, obtain pricing and engage for services upon agreement. 1. Formation of the Fund Entity - once agreed on the structure, we will then incorporate the fund entity (or entities), which can be done by us in as little as 24 hours. 

2. Legal Documents - all legal documents will be prepared in anticipation of the launch of your fund. This will vary depending on the legal structure of the fund but will generally include an offering document (or private placement memorandum), investment management agreement, subscription agreement, board resolutions approving the launch, engagement agreements with service providers, incorporation documents.

3. On-boarding and Account Opening - the on-boarding and account opening will occur at the same time that legal documents are being prepared so that on the launch date, the accounts are opened with the bank to receive subscriptions and also if there is a prime broker or custodian. With crypto funds there will be due diligence required and accounts opened with exchanges also. 

4. Regulatory Registration - open-ended funds and closed-end funds are now required to register with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), either under the Mutual Funds Act or the Private Funds Act, as the case may be. We will attend to all filings, as required for your fund.

5. Launch - typically this will be in the region of 4-6 weeks.
