Cayman registration

The Cayman Islands Intellectual Property Office (CIIPO) administers the local regime. Applications are made through a local agent. CIIPO states that trade mark protection runs for ten years from filing; renewal and other continuing requirements should be tracked with the agent.

Maintain an accurate intellectual property record

• Record the registered owner and any assignments or licences.
• Keep renewal dates and correspondence accessible.
