Directors Registration and Licensing Act
The Cayman regime for registering or licensing directors of covered entities, distinct from private-fund governance requirements.
The Directors Registration and Licensing Act regulates directors of covered entities, including regulated mutual funds and specified companies registered under the Securities Investment Business Act. A private fund is not a covered entity solely because it is registered under the Private Funds Act. Registration or licensing under this director regime is separate from the governance obligations of the fund and the duties of its operators.
