Foundation Companies Act
The Cayman legislation enabling foundation companies, widely used for DAOs, token projects and ownerless structures.
The Foundation Companies Act enables the establishment of foundation companies; bodies corporate that combine the separate legal personality of a company with features of a civil-law foundation, and which can be structured to have no members and to pursue defined objects or purposes. The Act has made the Cayman Islands a leading jurisdiction for DAO, protocol and token-project structures, as well as for philanthropic and ownerless holding arrangements.
