Bell Rock glossary
Private Fund
A pooled investment structure with interests not redeemable at the investor’s option, subject to Cayman statutory scope and exclusions.
A private fund pools investor capital for investment returns, with investments managed as a whole by or on behalf of its operator and without day-to-day investor control. Its investment interests are not redeemable or repurchasable at the investor’s option. Cayman registration depends on the Private Funds Act’s scope and exclusions, including non-fund arrangements. An in-scope fund applies within 21 days of accepting capital commitments and must be registered before accepting capital contributions for investment. Ongoing requirements include audit, valuation, asset safekeeping or title verification, and cash monitoring.
