Companies Act (As Revised)

A segregated portfolio is a distinct pool of assets and liabilities created within a segregated portfolio company (SPC). As a matter of Cayman law, the assets of one segregated portfolio are protected from the creditors of any other portfolio and from the company's general creditors. A segregated portfolio is not itself a separate legal entity; it is a statutory ring-fence within the single legal personality of the SPC.
