Tokenised Fund

A fund whose investor interests are issued and recorded as blockchain-based tokens rather than traditional shares or units.

Fund Structures & Vehicles

Mutual Funds Act / Private Funds Act (As Revised)

October 17, 2026

A tokenised fund uses blockchain-based tokens to represent or facilitate the transfer of fund interests. The authoritative ownership register may be on-chain, off-chain or supported by both, depending on the legal documents and operating arrangements. Tokenisation does not remove applicable fund regulation, investor eligibility, AML checks or transfer restrictions. Governance must address reconciliation with the legal register, permitted wallets, lost keys, corporate actions and the enforceability of transfers.
