Practical questions
Before you begin
Is fund deregistration the same as company closure?
They are separate workstreams. The plan should identify the entity’s regulatory status and the corporate steps still required.
Can a dormant entity simply stop making filings?
Do not assume inactivity ends its obligations. Provide the current status and outstanding work so the closure or continued-maintenance requirements can be assessed.
What should we send first?
Entity type, regulatory status, financial year end, intended timing and an outline of remaining assets, liabilities and investor matters.
