Bell Rock glossary
Token Issuer
The entity that issues a project's tokens, commonly a Cayman foundation or company, subject to structuring and regulatory analysis.
A token issuer creates or distributes tokens under a defined legal and commercial arrangement. The issuer may be a company, foundation or another structure; the choice does not itself determine the token’s regulatory status. Token rights, distribution, proceeds, control and services provided must be assessed under applicable securities, virtual-asset, AML and other requirements. The issuer’s responsibilities should be distinguished from those of the protocol, developers and foundation.
