Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer
The deputy to the MLRO, who performs the reporting-officer function in the MLRO's absence.
The Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) supports and deputises for the MLRO, receiving and assessing internal suspicious activity reports and, where appropriate, making external reports when the MLRO is unavailable. Cayman entities conducting relevant financial business must appoint a DMLRO alongside the MLRO and AMLCO, ensuring continuity of the reporting function. The role may be outsourced to a suitably qualified individual at a service provider.
